Piano Contest

I had a piano contest when it was my turn my heart was beating fast.

After I finished, I was anxious to hear the result.

I got a prize!!! A trophy and a paper prize. I had a grand prize.

I thought I was very good.

But when I practiced at home, it was not good.

And now I don't like piano.

I played sonatine number 7 by Sook Lyon Park. I played Last Spring in Yeoido.

My teacher and mom said "It was so nice!!" There were many students.

But I played by myself on the stage. It was a bit scary.

My trip to Bali

I went to Bali with Jee, Alex, Andy Brian, Danny and our mothers. We stayed 4 days at a hotel and we played a lot.
We rode kayaks on the sea but my arms hurt a lot while I was rowing. Alex, Jee, Andy and Brian snorkeled but me and Danny couldn't because we can't swim. It wasn't fair because Brian, Andy, Alex and Jee did 2 things (snorkeling and kayak) but Danny and me only did kayak.

We wanted to do more activities but it was raining so we went to the kids' club. The teacher wanted to go for lunch but we were not hungry because we already ate lunch.
There was a problem! Me, Brain, Andy and Alex were free to do what we wanted but Jee and Danny had to stay at the kids club. We explained to the teacher and the teacher wanted to call our mothers but nobody answered. Finally, we met a lady who knew our moms and she signed a paper and let us all go to the swimming pool.

About me

My name is Yeo Jin and I'm 10 years old.
I like ballet because it's exciting and beautiful. I want to go to a higher level class so I practice hard 7 days a week! I even practice on Saturday and Sunday!!!
My dream is to become a famous ballerina because it's fun to travel the world and dance for people.

Ballet makes our bodies strong and firm. Even when I feel tired or lazy, I want to practice. People who do ballet usually loose weight and become thinner.

I admire Su-Jin Kang a lot.


One of my favorite games is Angry Bird. That's why my blog's name is Angry Yeo Jin. I love the game and I bought an Angry Bird pencil case. Also I like making Angry Birds characters using clay with Remi.

My trip to the USA (Feb 2011)

Today I’m going to tell you about my trip to the USA last February.

I travelled to many cities, such as New York and Orlando.

First, let me tell you a few things about the USA.

The USA is a very big country. It is a hundred times bigger than South Korea.

If the top half of my thumb was Korea my face would be the size of the USA.

Also, there is a fourteen hours time difference between New York and Seoul. When New Yorkers wake up, here in Korea, we get ready to go to bed.

When I landed in New York, I was surprised because it was only my second time out of Korea.

Since New York is a very famous city, I already knew about the statue of liberty, high skyscrapers and famous fast foods.

But looking at the city with my own eyes was truly amazing.

The statue of liberty looked much bigger than what I thought. To be honest, she looked a little boyish.

I also walked down Broadway Street and saw huge pictures for shows like the phantom of the opera and Chicago.

We got some very nice and expensive tickets for the Lion King. The show was great.

The music and costumes were wonderful... well that's what my mom said because me and my dad fell asleep and missed most of the show.

During my trip, I have seen many beautiful things but I was mostly impressed by the way people treated the disabled.

I remember very well, they always had reserved seats in buses but also at amusement parks.

I noticed, that they were even given the best seats at the dolphin show. I thought it was a beautiful idea.

Americans, adults but also children, respected the disabled and did not stare at them as people often do, here in Korea.

I think, we as Koreans, should be more polite and not hurt the disabled's feelings.

We should help them and make their lives more comfortable.

It's a beautiful country.

One of my favorite ballerinas: Sue Jin KANG

Sue Jin Kang is a very good ballet dancer and she practices very hard.
I think her husband is Italian. She is 42 years old and she said that if she wakes up in the morning and her body doesn't hurt, it means she didn't train hard enough.

When her body is tired, she thinks she can't practice. But she puts her Pointe shoes on.
She goes to the practice room and she feels really happy.

When we practice everyday, we have to think pain is our friend.
She competes against herself and everyday she gets a little bit better. She thinks it is exciting. She doesn't like the word "rest".

She's beautiful but her toes are very hard and ugly. She uses 250 pairs of  Pointe shoes every 10 months.

In 2007 she got the John Cranko prize.
